About Me



I am a 30-something Catholic SAHM of 5 children, with one on the way.  I'm married to my best friend whom I have grown to love more immensely than I ever thought possible.  They are my little family of angels who teach me daily about LOVE.


I try to live in service to the Lord as I navigate all of life's blessings and challenges. I try to convey His love as much as I can to everyone, here on my blog and in real life. I know I am an imperfect, sinful being and need His grace and forgiveness to get through each day. Everything I am, all that I have, is His.



To go beyond that simple summary; to get into the nitty gritty of WHO I am, you'd have to come visit for awhile and talk with me to really get to know me. And then you still wouldn't know much because I'm not a show-all right away kind of gal!  A lot of people believe they know a person just by reading what they write, or even talking to them a little.  But I have people in my life who have been here for a LONG time and they still don't know me very well, mostly because they just don't make the effort.


I will tell you a little bit more about myself so you can grasp an idea, anyway:


First of all, I love to write. Ever since I was little, writing was my solace and my means to escape the craziness of my life as #6 of 7 children in a very small house....Usually you'd find me writing in my journal (and often fiction stories but I don't really write those anymore).  I have always dreamed of becoming a published author, hopefully for God's glory.  I have published a few articles in a local newspaper, as well as an article in Midwifery Today.... but that's as far as the publishing goes as of now. Oh, wait..not true...when I was younger, a little of my poetry was published as well.  :-)


This blog has had quite a journey since its birth in 2007, and so have I!  I've tried to be more diligent about editing and making an effort in my writing, but really still have very little time for that.  Many of my posts are not as eloquent as I would like them to be, even now.  I'm running on overload with my busy life of homeschooling, caring for my 5 children and helping my husband run our landscape business.  We also just adopted chickens, and have a very rambunctious pit/jack russell mix.  Life. Is. Hectic!


Speaking of my children..Yes, SIX!  Can you believe that?? In this day in age, who in their right mind has SIXchildren??  I'll tell ya:  I DO!  Because God tells us to be open to life so we are open to life.  God tells us that babies are blessings so we welcome blessings.. I mean, who wouldn't want blessings?  Not to mention the fact that once they are a certain age, these little crazy people actually are USEFUL!  I mean, seriously, who needs to pay a maid when you have 6 extra sets of hands?  Okay, Okay, I'm just kidding, of course!  In all seriousness, I LOVE each and every one of my children and see value in each of their lives.  God HAND-PICKED these littles JUST for me!  He gave them specific personalities JUST for me.  They are my ticket to heaven, I'm tellin ya!!  *wink* *wink*


Hubby..Okay..so that's a bit of a story. If you peruse my blog, you will find a number of posts about him, and our relationship. One of these days I might write a book about it. It's an interesting story, Us.
